Viltrox announced its newest interchangeable lens, the “Viltrox AF 50/2.0 AIR”. Compatible mounts are the Z-mount and the E-mount.
What is the Viltrox AF 50/2.0 AIR?
The new Viltrox AF 50mm F2.0 Air delivers superior image quality in a lightweight, compact design. AIR Series Latest Addition
The Viltrox AF 50mm F2.0 is a new addition to the AIR series of lenses, a lightweight, compact, large-aperture, full-frame compatible prime lens. Redefining the standard focal length, the lightweight palm-sized design and versatile 50mm focal length take photography to a new dimension.
This lens is small and easy to carry, with a total length of about 57 mm and a weight of 205 g, and can be used comfortably in a wide range of shooting scenes such as walking around town or traveling. The brightness of the maximum aperture of F2.0 realizes beautiful and natural bokeh and high image quality even in dark places. It can capture photos with a three-dimensional feel that express people and backgrounds impressively. In addition, since it can take in a large amount of light, it can be used to shoot at a fast shutter speed even in dark places.
Optical Design
The advanced optical design of 13 elements in 9 groups, including 3 ED lenses, 4 high-refractive lenses, and 1 aspherical (ASPH) lens, delivers high resolution performance to every corner of the screen. In addition, it is equipped with a quiet Viltrox STM motor. The fast and accurate autofocus allows even beginners to capture the subject’s momentary expressions and movements without missing them.
