Sigma Corporation announced the development and upcoming release of a brand new lineup of interchangeable lenses for video production. These lenses are known as the AIZU PRIME LINE, otherwise known as the “Sigma Cine Lens.” Sigma announced the release will be due out in August 2025. The suggested retail price is 1,650,000 yen (tax included) per lens, according to the press release.
Aizu Prime is the world’s first large-format cine lens that achieves an aperture of T1.3 at all focal lengths. Its modern sharpness and organic, natural softness give the image a rich texture and three-dimensional feel.
The series embodies the technology and quality of “Made in Aizu,” consisting of a lineup of 12 lenses, which range from 18mm to 125mm. Additionally, all of the lenses in this series capture images at T1.3.
Initially, eight lenses will be released, to begin with 25mm to 75mm series. These lenses are ready for immediate use on film sets.
The mounts are for PL mount and Sony E mount. Included in your purchase will be a cover cine lens cap (LCC-95 II), rear cap (LCR III), and support foot (SF-61).
