SHOTEN announced the Contax G to Nikon Z electronic mount adapter, the “GTZ,” on Friday, July 4, 2025.
The SHOTEN GTZ is an electronic mount adapter that enables AF operation of Contax G mount lenses on Nikon Z mount mirrorless cameras. It has a built-in AF drive motor that adjusts the focus by moving the mount surface on the lens side back and forth. In addition, various information is transmitted to the body via electronic contacts on the body side mount.

SHOTEN GTZ Adapter Features
- Supports various AF modes (AF-S/AF-C), “Human/Animal Subject Detection” and “Face Detection/Eye AF”
- Compatible with camera body image stabilization mechanism
- Equipped with a “focus dial” to shorten the lens’ minimum shooting distance
- Six types of lens names are accurately recorded in the Exif data (lens data switching settings are required)
- Easily switch between focus modes AF/MF (infinity)/MF (close-up) by operating the Fn button
- The Fn button supports the camera’s custom functions. Various functions can be assigned to it.
- Equipped with a microUSB terminal on the bottom. Firmware can be updated by connecting to a PC terminal.
