H&Y Filters released the EVO Series Streak Magnetic Filter Kit. The colors are blue, gold, pink, rainbow, and transparent. The available lineup is listed below:

The H&Y Filters EVO Series Streak filter supports both screw-in and magnetic attachment. They follows the optical system of the HD Magnetic Streak Filter, which is well-known for its effectiveness. The EVO system’s selectable attachment and detachment method can be used for both styles, whether you want to fix it firmly to the lens or you want to attach and remove it at any time depending on the scene.

Streak filter effect

This filter can generate linear flares in response to strong light sources, creating a dramatic effect of light. The angle of the flare effect can be adjusted by rotating the filter.

Blue has become a standard color for streak filters and is often used in videos, while pink and rainbow can add accents to the light for a stronger impact. Gold creates a gorgeous light under sunlight or electric lights. The colorless transparent type is not as flashy as gold or rainbow. However, nonetheless, it is easy to use in a variety of scenes and creates a natural light that is not too assertive.

Efficiency-optimized coating

In products such as protective filters, CPLs, and NDs, low-reflection coatings are applied to suppress ghosts and flares, and in order to maintain the original image quality of the lens, the lower the reflectivity, the better. However, when it comes to special effect filters, low reflectivity is not necessarily the best, and low-reflection coatings can actually hinder the effect.

H&Y’s special effect filters use a coating process that they have determined to be optimal after taking into consideration obtaining the intended effect during the planning and development stages and maintaining image quality as much as possible without any degradation due to the effect.

Stack the Magnetic Filters

It is possible to stack filters from the H&Y EVO series and magnetic filters. By adding an ND filter, you can adjust the aperture and shutter speed. H&Y also suggests combining with the Black Mist and White Pro Mist filters.

The EVO Series Streak Magnetic Filters have all the basic performance features common to H&Y filter products, such as optimized coating, extremely high resolution due to high flatness achieved through HD technology, and water-repellent, dirt-resistant, scratch-resistant, and anti-static coating, as well as high quality and ease of maintenance.
