Nextorage Co., Ltd. will release the AtomX SSDmini “NPS-AS2TB” in late October. The NPS-AS series is a compact form factor solid state drive, designed exclusively for ATOMOS recorders. The newly released NPS-AS2TB is a large capacity model with 2,000GB capacity, answering the demand for high quality, long recording times.
The NPS-AS series delivers stable performance with read speeds of 550MB/s and write speeds of 500MB/s. Certified to record in all codecs supported by ATOMOS recorders, you can shoot in the highest grade video and RAW formats without dropping frames. It also supports recording up to 8Kp30, 5Kp60, and 4Kp120 on the NINJA V+ and ProRes RAW HQ 6K up to 30p on the NINJA V, as well as 4Kp60 and 2Kp240.
Like the 1,000GB and 500GB models, the NPS-AS2TB uses a robust aluminum die-cast exterior and has passed rigorous heat dissipation and drop tests. Tested more than 3,000 times, the connector has stronger insertion and removal resistance than a regular SATA connector, and the case is shock-resistant to up to 1500G/0.5ms, demonstrating its reliability in a variety of use cases.
Product Compatibility
The NPS-AS series is the only AtomX SSDmini certified by the ATOMOS Verification Lab, and because it has a built-in SATA III connector, it can be used with all ATOMOS monitor recorders.
Simply screw the AtomX SSDmini handle onto the NPS-AS series main unit for use with SUMO 19, AtomX CAST, or SHOGUN STUDIO 2. With the handle attached, you can easily insert and remove drives without using the Master Caddy II.
