On December 13, 2024, a DJI product experience event titled “DJI Product Workshop Vol.1: Gimbal Edition” was held, sponsored by Fujiya Camera Store Co., Ltd. (Nakano-ku, Tokyo).
DJI product workshop at Fuji Camera Video Hall ends with great success
Many event participants gathered at Fujiya Camera Video Hall, and staff from System Five Co., Ltd., the official Japanese distributor of DJI products, also came to show their support.
DJI’s diverse product lineup is currently increasing its presence in the video and photography industry. This event was originally planned as a study session for Fuji Camera staff, but was opened to the public with the intention of “inviting participation from those considering purchasing a product and users who want to learn more about how to use the product.”
Fuji Camera Video Hall has frequently held experience events to coincide with the release of new products, but it had been a long time since they held a workshop themed on existing products. Initially, there were concerns about attracting visitors, but the convenient location, just a few minutes’ walk from Nakano Station, and the fact that the event was held in the evening made it easy for not only freelancers but also company employees to drop by. As a result, despite the event not requiring reservations, there was a continuous stream of visitors and it ended with great success.
Full of demonstrations and usage tips for the latest DJI gimbals
This workshop was titled “Gimbal Edition” and featured the latest DJI gimbal models, including the DJI RS4 and RS4 Pro. Participants were given explanations of functions that interested them, such as gimbal lock by trigger operation and remote operation that combines the DJI Transmission and DJI high brightness monitor, as well as advice on how to make better use of DJI gimbals. In addition, staff who actually use DJI products on set also participated, imparting practical techniques such as how to hold and position a gimbal for stable use. More than simply introducing the products, the workshop was packed with practical content that captivated many participants.
Manager Sato talks about future prospects
DJI products receive a lot of inquiries on a daily basis about how to use them, as well as requests for customization to make them even easier to use.
Yusuke Sato, manager of Fujiya Camera Video Library, spoke about future prospects as follows:
Manager Sato: We want to hold events like this on a regular basis to provide a place where users can interact with each other and an opportunity for people considering adopting the service to ask for advice. And it would be ideal if we could create a community where users can have fun interacting with each other through these events.
Fujiya Camera Video Hall is also considering holding a second DJI product workshop. Please keep an eye on Fujiya Camera Video Hall for event information.
