The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) will hold “InterBEE 2024” comprehensive media event at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, for three days starting Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Applications for exhibitors began on March 1st (Friday) at 10:00 a.m. The first application deadline will be May 31st (Friday), and the secondary application deadline will be June 28th (Friday).

InterBEE 2024 – What is InterBEE?

InterBEE is a comprehensive media event covering the entire media and entertainment industry field. Since COVID, related technologies such as virtual production and the use of AI for content creation have rapidly evolved. The industry as a whole has been undergoing major changes as the global market recovers and the scope of the industry as a whole has expanded. At the forefront of these global trends, Inter BEE will be held in 2024 as one of Japan’s largest business events that not only disseminates the latest technology, but also discovers and creates new business opportunities.

New “INTERBEE AWARD” established

InterBEE, which was held for the first time in 1965, has grown along with the development of broadcasting media over the years. InterBEE 2024 marks its 60th event. In this milestone year, the “INTER BEE AWARD” will be established. This award is to recognize contributions to the entire media and entertainment industry with an eye toward the next new decade. The recognition will be for particularly excellent products or services that are scheduled to be exhibited at InterBEE from among applications. The aim is to contribute to supporting the development of related industries and markets by evaluating and awarding outstanding technologies and products.

Additionally, a new special project, “INTER BEE CINEMA,” which specializes in the field of film production, will be held. With film production technology evolving and Japanese films once again gaining recognition worldwide, the project will be developed as a place to support the revitalization of business in this field and contribute to the development of the next generation of professionals.

Special Projects at Inter BEE

Inter BEE’s special projects provide users with deeper information and experiences by specializing in specific field themes and targets in the wide-ranging media and entertainment field, as well as opportunities to communicate with new exhibiting companies.

Each special project that has been implemented so far will be further expanded and strengthened and will be implemented again this year. At “INTER BEE EXPERIENCE,” which specializes in audio experiences, we plan to further enhance the “SR Speaker Listening Experience Demo” and the “Headphone/Microphone Listening Experience Exhibit,” which was revived last year. “INTER BEE BORDERLESS”, ​​which aims to discover the future of broadcast media beyond the boundaries of fields, will also enhance the content of the project.

At “INTER BEE IGNITON x DCEXPO”, which disseminates diverse and new content creation and its expression, the startup area that was newly established last year has been renamed to include the participation of university research laboratories, etc., and is being planned as the “Startup & University Area”. Expanding. In addition, “INTER BEE CREATIVE,” which disseminates the latest information in the field of video production, will continue to develop the video marketing lounge that was newly established last year, and aim to further enhance its dissemination. “INTER BEE IP PAVILION,” which specifically disseminates IP technology for broadcasting, will change its name to “INTER BEE DX × IP PAVILION” from this year. This exhibition will disseminate technology that supports comprehensive DX in content production.

Inter BEE 2024 will have four divisions: “Pro Audio Division,” “Entertainment/Writing Division,” “Video Production/Broadcasting Related Equipment Division,” and “Media Solutions Division.” The latter will create (production) and send (transmission) content. The idea is to create new business opportunities by providing a business communication space that covers all fields of experience.

This year, InterBEE 2024 will hold the event on a larger scale than last year.
