Tiffen announced the daylight balance panel floodlight “Lowel Tota LED XL” which adopts a foldable design and achieves three times the brightness of the conventional model.
The Lowel Tota LED XL achieves flicker-free continuous light of 11,200 lux suitable for subject lighting and set lighting in video and photo production. Using 216 LEDs, the 8″ x 8″ panel produces a bright 60° beam at 5600°K ± 200°K. Designed for accurate color reproduction with a TLCI value of 98 and a CRI value of 96, the Lowel Tota LED XL is said to be able to express not only vivid colors but also warm and nuanced skin tones. If you need a rigid light source, you can quickly remove the included rigid diffuser.
The Lowel Tota LED XL is ready for use on location or in the field. It can be folded compactly with three hinges, and the robust metal body protects the LED panel when carrying. The three-panel design allows the two outer wings to be flattened out or folded inward to customize the shape of the light, giving you more control over your lighting. In addition, it is equipped with a removable barndoor to achieve higher directivity.
