Samsung will release the high-speed external “Samsung Portable SSD T9” solid-state drive in October 2023. This SSD supports the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20Gbps) interface in October 2023. The lineup and expected market prices are as follows:

Samsung Portable SSD T9 max transfer speed of 2,000MB/s
Adopting a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface and using the NVMe protocol, T9 delivers sequential read/write speeds of up to 2,000MB/s. It is a compact device that improves workflow and productivity, reducing data processing time and enabling more creative work.
Note: Performance may vary depending on host configuration. To achieve maximum transfer speeds, the host device and connecting cable must support USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 and UASP mode must be enabled.

T9 is compatible with Windows, macOS, Android smartphones and tablets, game consoles, 12K cameras, and more, and works seamlessly with a variety of devices. A USB-C to C cable (20Gbps) and USB-C to A cable (10Gbps) are included as standard to ensure a smooth connection.

The T9 is equipped with AES 256-bit hardware encryption with password settings. The pre-installed “Samsung Portable SSD Software 1.0” or “Samsung Magician Software” allows users to configure security settings and update the device’s firmware and software. Additionally, Samsung Magician software provides visibility into drive health, temperature, and data usage.
