I-O DATA DEVICE, INC announced that its portable SSD devices, the SSPJ-UTC series, SSMG-UWC series, and SSPA-USC series, are now compatible with Blackmagic Design’s camera app, Blackmagic Camera.
Blackmagic Camera is attracting a lot of attention from filmmakers as an app that brings the operability of a professional video camera to the iPhone or iPad. It features an intuitive UI that allows you to adjust detailed settings such as frame rate, shutter angle, and white balance with just one tap.
With this update, when using the Blackmagic Camera on an iPhone or iPad to shoot, you can connect a compatible SSD made by I-O DATA and save the captured data directly to the SSD.
Verified I-O DATA SSD Devices
Three series of our SSDs have been confirmed to work with the Blackmagic Camera camera app: the extremely compact SSPJ-UTC series, which protrudes just 8.5mm when connected to an iPhone; the SSMG-UWC series, which can be attached to the back of an iPhone with MagSafe for stable shooting; and the SSPA-USC series, which is also designed for use with cinema cameras.
