Accsoon has announced the Accsoon “TopRig S40” and “TopRig S60” motorized sliders. Both products have smooth automatic motion and can be controlled using physical buttons on the device or via Bluetooth using the “TopRig” app. The built-in parallax system automatically pans gently to provide professional results.
Accsoon’s company philosophy has always been to create outstanding products that directly respond to filmmakers’ needs and significantly improve existing alternatives. Accsoon understands how frustrating it can be to have a beautiful shot ruined by the vibration or judder of a less-than-perfect slider, so we at Accsoon strive to produce smoother, yet less costly, more precise motor-driven sliders. It is said that the work has started.
The TopRigS40 and TopRigS60 are made possible by a combination of precision engineering and powerful brushless motors. TopRig S40 and TopRig S60 can move smoothly not only vertically but also horizontally. The camera travel distance of TopRig S40 is 22.5cm, and the camera travel distance of TopRig S60 is 42.5cm. There is almost no operating noise, and the movement speed varies from 0.1cm/s to 5cm/s. Creating cinematic tracking shots, subtle push-ins, pullbacks, and reversals has never been easier. Slow push-in shots and gliding shots are possible when using probe lenses and other close-up lenses.
In addition to being smooth, the TopRig S40 and TopRig S60 are said to be highly portable. Both sliders are easy to carry and small enough to fit inside or strap onto most backpacks. The TopRig S40 is just 41cm long, while the TopRig S60 is 61cm long, and both are made of professional-grade, sturdy metal. The weight is 1.4kg for TopRig S40 and 1.5kg for TopRig S60.
It is mainly made for mirrorless cameras and small cinema cameras, and the maximum load on the slider when moving horizontally is 4 kg, and the maximum load when moving vertically is 2.5 kg.
Using TopRig S40 and TopRig S60, automatic pan parallax movement can be easily performed. Position the slider directly toward the subject, so that both ends of the slider are at the same distance from the subject. The camera then slides up and down and continues to point at the subject.
Power is provided by a single Sony NP-F type battery. One NP-F 550 battery can power one slider for up to 60 hours. The slider can also be powered with DC7.4V to 16.8V via the barrel connector. Both sliders also feature a convenient 5V USB-C output for powering accessories.
The main functions of the slider can be operated using physical controls on the slider body. This includes the ability to change movement speed using a control knob, buttons to start/stop, loop movement actions, and set A and B points for the start and end of movement. By relying on hardware controls, all operations are reproducible, reliable, and controllable. If desired, these features can be controlled via Bluetooth using the TopRig app, which is available for free download from the app store.
With the TopRig S40 and TopRig S60, users no longer have to choose between manual sliders and expensive motorized sliders. The product is said to allow many filmmakers to enjoy precise movement.
