The driving force behind video production

The DJI Ronin 4D-8K comes equipped with a number of impressive features that meet the needs of video directors and deliver top-class shooting performance. It supports full-frame 8K 60fps and 4K 120fps shooting, and is characterized by its versatility to meet the needs of each shooting scene.

800/4000 dual native ISO allows performance under various lighting conditions. With a dynamic range of up to 14.7 stops, it is possible to achieve cinematic, deep colors and expressive color grading in any shooting scenario.

The Ronin 4D-8K has a built-in 9-stop ND filter for precise exposure adjustment. Expanded shooting freedom comes with the interchangeable DL/E/L/PL/M lens mount. Autofocus and automatic manual focus (AMF) functions with manual lenses using the LiDAR focus system support quick and accurate focus adjustment. It is possible to seamlessly switch to a configuration that uses Flex without tools, and adjustments can be made on the go, further increasing the versatility of the camera.

DJI Cinema Color Science

The DJI Ronin 4D-8K is equipped with DJI Cinema Color Science (DCCS). DCCS Delivers natural skin tones with accurate, true-to-life color reproduction, even under complex lighting conditions. DCCS is designed for use with professional aerial and ground photography equipment, and is said to vividly reproduce the vividness of colors perceived by the human eye, further expanding creative possibilities. The DCCS color engine is equipped with a new algorithm and operates smoothly while expressing vivid details, and its high bit-width internal color processing performance makes it possible to delicately express smooth changes in natural color tones. In addition, multiple high-precision LUT processing modules enable accurate color performance adjustments even under complex lighting environments.

To provide high-quality digital intermediates (DI) in the post-editing process, DJI developed the CineCore video processing platform for professionals. With a proprietary chip and advanced processor architecture, the CineCore video processing platform can support up to 8K video. It also supports professional codecs such as Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes 422 HQ, and H.264 such as Inspire 3 and CinemaDNG.

D-Gamut color space is optimized in this camera to express richer and more beautiful greens and skin tones. The D-Log curve can cover a dynamic range of over 14 stops. This makes it possible to maintain detailed color information in bright and dark areas even under harsh lighting conditions. It can easily match the colors of ARRI cinema cameras and is compatible with ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) workflows.

Featuring a symmetrical dynamic distribution that maintains consistency, DCCS delivers more subtle and natural color transitions in bright areas. It is an ideal choice for filmmakers seeking superior image quality performance and color grading flexibility.
