LAOWA 10mm F2.8 Zero-D FF Features
The first AF lens in the LAOWA series
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the founding of Venus Optics, the company that launched the LAOWA brand, they have developed the first LAOWA lens with an autofocus function. There are two types of mounts equipped with autofocus function: Sony FE mount and Nikon Z mount (*Canon RF mount and L mount are available too, but only in manual format). By using an STM stepping motor, the drive noise is quiet and focus can be adjusted quickly.
Full size ultra wide angle
Although it has a focal length of 10mm, the wide angle of view of 130° with a non-fisheye lens visually exaggerates the distance between near and far, making it ideal for photographing landscapes and architecture. Adopts a lens configuration of 15 elements in 9 groups, including 2 aspherical lenses and 3 ED lenses. It is possible to obtain sharp, high-contrast images from the center of the screen to the edges while suppressing the occurrence of chromatic aberration. The large aperture of F2.8 makes it possible to shoot in low light by selecting a fast shutter speed or using a low sensitivity ISO, making it ideal for starscape photography.
Zero-D Design
This lens uses the “Zero-D” design, which minimizes distortion, and is LAOWA’s widest wide-angle lens with Zero-D specifications.
12cm minimum shooting distance
Although it is a wide-angle lens, the minimum focusing distance is only 12cm, so it is possible to take effective shots similar to a macro lens, emphasizing the subject while giving a sense of perspective.
5 aperture blades and 77mm circular filter
The 5 aperture blades create 10 beautiful beams of light. Since the front element does not protrude, a 77mm circular filter can be attached. By using filters, the image can be controlled as desired.
Light and compact design
The weight of the main body is approximately 420g. It is said to be ideal for gimbal photography and drone photography that takes advantage of the 130° wide angle.
