NANLITE Rapid 90 and Rapid 120 parabolic softboxes unveiled. 

NANLITE announced the launch of the new Rapid Series parabolic softboxes, the Rapid 90 and Rapid 120, which can be set up in seconds and folded flat. The Rapid 90 and Rapid 120 feature a one-piece design with Rapid latch speed rings and high structural rigidity.

Quick set up and pack up

With a simple pull and push motion, the dome ribs and fabric open and lock securely into place, then all you need to do is attach the front diffusion fabric with the hook and loop fasteners, connect the softbox to the lamp head using the Bowens mount, and you’re set up.

Folding it is even easier, just hold the handle and pull the trigger, and it folds in just a second. The Rapid 90/Rapid 120 can be folded flat for packing, so it doesn’t take up much space.

The Rapid 90/Rapid 120 are quick and simple to set up and tear down, making them ideal for fast-paced productions, news, documentaries, and anyone who wants to keep things simple. Larger productions can also benefit from using the Rapid Series softboxes when there are a lot of softboxes to rig on set.

Universal Bowens Mount

The Rapid 90/Rapid 120 is equipped with a Bowens mount, making it compatible with NANLITE Forza, FC, and FS series fixtures, as well as other Bowens mount light fixtures on the market.

Spread control

It comes with a standard diffuser and a light diffuser, allowing you to freely control the shape and appearance of the light. The diffuser is made of high-density material, which provides a beautiful and uniform diffusion effect. The diffuser fabric is made of durable and abrasion-resistant nylon, designed to withstand harsh use on set.

The Rapid 90/Rapid 120 features a reflective fabric inside to enhance light, effectively reducing light loss and minimizing color shift. It comes with an egg crate that allows you to control the direction and spread of light, making it ideal for lighting your subject with minimal light spill into other areas.

Each Rapid Series softbox is designed with meticulous attention to its physical construction. It aims to provide a high level of structural rigidity and stability while eliminating the hassle of multiple components that slow down setup. The softbox is supported by 16 reliable high carbon steel ribs that evenly distribute pressure when subjected to external forces. This reduces the risk of deformation outdoors and improves wind resistance.
