Panasonic announced the upcoming release of the AG-CX20, a 4K professional camera recorder that meets all video production, broadcasting, and streaming needs. This new camera is due to be released in February 2025.
The AG-CX20 is a 4K60p 10-bit camera recorder that combines a compact, lightweight body with excellent mobility and a high-performance lens with a 24x optical zoom from a wide angle of 25mm. This series is said to be popular with directors who perform one-man operation recordings, as well as professional filming sites that require high mobility and image quality performance.

- Improved viewfinder operability: Adopts a high-resolution 1,770K-dot OLED viewfinder and enlarged eyecup
- Change to USB-C port: Change the USB terminal to the versatile Type-C, allowing power supply
- Addition of low bit rate recording mode (firmware support).
- A new low bit rate mode for FHD MP4 coming in the next firmware update.
- Supports 28Mbps (50p/59.94p), 24Mbps (23.98p), and 20Mbps (25p/29.97p).
- Improved slow zoom: Supports slow zoom of approximately 2.8 times that of the previous model HC-X2000, expanding the range of visual expression
- Shooting guideline display support: Added guideline display for checking composition and horizontality
- Enhanced network functionality: Supports Wi-Fi 5GHz and adds USB tethering functionality
- Improved operability through app integration: The dedicated app “HC-ROP” supports the live view function. Easily operate the camera from a smart device
The Panasonic AG-CX20 also supports FHD live streaming using Wi-Fi and Ethernet. It will also support the SRT protocol (scheduled to be supported in a future firmware update) which enables high-quality, low-latency streaming. On the system side, it is equipped with 3G-SDI and supports simultaneous output with HDMI. The AG-CX20 also has an IP connection function compatible with NDI HX2. NDI HX2 enables smooth live streaming in a network environment.
