Fujifilm announced the release of the hybrid instant camera, instax WIDE Evo on February 6, 2025.
The new instax WIDE Evo is the second model in the Evo series, following the global hit “instax mini Evo.” This camera supports “wide format film,” which is twice the size of card-sized mini format film. You can take pictures while looking at the monitor on the back of the camera, select the images you like, and print them. It is a two-in-one camera that can also be used as a smartphone printer.
By combining 10 film effects such as “magenta” and “monochrome” with 10 lens effects such as “light leak” and “color gradation,” you can easily enjoy “100 different shooting effects.”
Furthermore, the lens effect, “degree adjustment,” which is a first for the instax series, allows you to adjust the intensity of light and color gradations in 100 steps, allowing you to express yourself in as much detail as you like.

In addition, the appeal of the wide format is further enhanced by the “Film Style” that frames the photo to make it more impressive, and the “Wide-Angle Mode” that allows you to shoot a wide range and express dynamic scenes. With over 100,000 combinations of “100 shooting effects,” “degree adjustment,” “Film Style,” and “Wide-Angle Mode,” you can freely express your photography.
The camera body has a luxurious design that combines metallic materials with a black base. It allows users to experience the fun of creating wide-format prints using analog operations such as selecting effects by operating various dials and using the “print crank” to manually wind and print.
A camera case that matches the color of the WIDE Evo body and “BRUSHED METALLICS,” a metallic wide-format film with a gradient that gives each sheet a different look, will be released at the same time.
The dedicated app also comes with a “Discover Feed” function that allows users to view instax print images and the various effects used on the images posted on social media by WIDE Evo users around the world, providing new ideas for photography.
Furthermore, via Bluetooth connection, you can register the effects of Instax print images displayed in the Discover Feed as favorites on the camera itself via the app, making it easy to reproduce effect combinations.
