Matthews announced the release of a new model of its popular desktop C-stand with an added 1/4-inch-20 adapter. This small, professional C-stand has supported productions of all sizes for over half a century and is ideal for tabletop work, photography, stop motion, miniatures, and other work where fine adjustments lead to big results.
The sturdy and compact 5″ Pocket C-Stand offers all the key features of a full-size stand in a small, highly functional package. The height can be adjusted from 15cm to 45cm, making it ideal for tabletop setups and small-scale shoots. Made from sturdy steel, it features double risers and foldable legs for added stability and flexibility, making it suitable for a variety of shooting environments, including uneven ground.
This Matthews desktop C-stand comes in a black powder coat finish (packaged separately for the first time) or the popular chrome finish, and both feature Matthews’ iconic “M” logo on a large, easy-to-use knob. A removable 1/4″-20 screw for attaching small cameras, cell phone holders and other accessories makes the 5″ Pocket C-Stand more useful than ever.
The Pocket C-Stand features standard dot finger flags for precise control and two aluminum grip heads with 3/16″ holes perfect for supporting scrims. The 1/4″-20 thread adapter and 3/16″ receiver make it easy to attach small cameras, lights and other small set accessories. A flat area on the 3/16″ mounting surface prevents the mounted item from rotating.
