DaVinci Resolve 20 Public Beta 3 Details
This update further refines many of the features from the public beta, including improved character styling and labeling for mtext layers. You can now assign editable names to individual mtext layers, making it easier to identify each layer while editing. Character styling and sizing are precisely applied to all selected layers, making it easier to manage multiple text elements simultaneously.
Additionally, editing keyframes and curves in the Curve Editor window is more responsive so large position changes, such as during transformations or cropping, no longer affect the display of keyframes. Additionally, audio sync for subclips has been improved so that in and out points are accurately reflected in both the original high-res clip and the proxy clip.
There’s also improved playback of timelines or clips that have burned-in data such as timecode, source filenames, grade versions, etc. Playback performance is no longer affected when checking footage that has burned-in data, so customers can quickly make selections and complete their projects.
The Studio version has improved subtitle animations for certain languages, so that languages with unique letter spacing, such as Chinese and Thai, now correctly recognize the spacing between words and apply animations appropriately for each word.
