Tamron announced the upcoming release of the 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061) , a high-magnification zoom lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens will be released for Nikon Z mount on Thursday, August 28, 2025, and for Canon RF mount on Friday, September 26, 2025.

The 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061) is a high-magnification zoom lens for APS-C size mirrorless cameras. When released in 2021 for Sony E-mount and Fujifilm X-mount, it was the world’s first lens to achieve a zoom ratio of 16.6 times zoom. The lens now will be released for Nikon Z-mount and Canon RF-mount.
The lens covers a focal length range of 18-300mm, allowing users to enjoy shooting from ultra-telephoto to wide-angle without the hassle of changing lenses. It also supports ultra-telephoto shooting of 300mm, making it ideal for a wide variety of scenes, including landscapes, snapshots, and portraits, as well as the ultra-telephoto capabilities of capturing animals and birds, sports, and children’s sports days.
Furthermore, its compact design makes it easy to carry when traveling or hiking.With a minimum focusing distance of 0.15m at the wide-angle end and a maximum magnification of 1:2, it is possible to capture impressive images that highlight the power and details of the subject.
Additionally, it is equipped with a high-speed, high-precision linear motor focus mechanism, VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), and Tamron’s proprietary image stabilization mechanism, VC (Vibration Compensation), to support comfortable and stable shooting.
