Sigma announced three lenses designed specifically for mirrorless cameras.
From the Art line, the 135mm F1.4 DG, the world’s first lens with AF support and an F1.4 aperture, and the 35mm F1.2 DG II, which is 30% lighter than previous models, will be released. From the Contemporary line, the 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG, the world’s first 10x zoom lens with a wide-angle starting angle of 20mm, will be added to the lineup.
All three of these new Sigma lenses are scheduled for release on September 25, 2025, and will be available for both L-mount and Sony E-mount.
Let’s now go over all three of these new Sigma lenses, beginning first with the ART 135mm f1.4 DG.
ART 135mm F1.4 DG

The Sigma 135mm F1.4 DG | Art is the world’s first autofocus-compatible 135mm lens with an F1.4 maximum aperture, delivering exceptional expressive power for portrait photography. The large bokeh and incredibly precise resolution create a three-dimensional effect that’s truly extraordinary.
The natural perspective and moderate focusing distance of the 135mm, combined with the rich bokeh created by the bright F1.4 aperture, make the subject stand out, delivering images that are in a league of their own compared to the 135mm F1.8.
Overwhelming expressive power created by maximum bokeh
The Sigma 135mm F1.4 DG | Art’s greatest feature is the exceptionally large bokeh it produces thanks to its effective aperture. With a focal length of 135mm and a bright F1.4 aperture, this lens’s effective aperture surpasses that of the “bokeh master” Sigma 105mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art and is comparable to that of the Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS | Sports. The optical design, which takes bokeh into consideration, delivers clear bokeh without color fringing, while the 13-blade aperture maintains beautiful circular bokeh.

Outstanding optical performance that renders the subject in minute detail
In addition to four large FLD glass elements, glass elements with high anomalous dispersion are effectively positioned to thoroughly correct on-axis chromatic aberration, clearly depicting subject details even at wide open apertures. The floating focus mechanism maintains high resolution performance throughout the entire focus range.
Excellent AF performance so you won’t miss a single moment
The dual HLA, which drives the two focus groups with a linear motor, achieves high-speed, high-precision AF, ensuring accurate capture of fleeting changes in the subject’s facial expression and moving scenes.
Various functions and build quality suitable for professional use
It features two AFL buttons, an aperture ring, a lock switch, and a click switch. It boasts the high build quality of the Art line, featuring a dustproof and splashproof construction, a water-repellent and dirt-resistant coating, and comes standard with an Arca-Swiss compatible tripod mount and a button-operated locking hood.
Main specifications
- Lens construction: 17 elements in 13 groups (4 FLD glass elements, 2 aspherical elements)
- Angle of view: 18.2°
- Number of aperture blades: 13 (circular aperture)
- Minimum focusing distance: 110cm
- Maximum magnification: 1:6.9
- Filter size: φ105mm
- Weight: 1,430g (for L-mount)
- Accessories: Lens hood (LH1126-01), front cap (LCF-105 IV), rear cap (LCR III), pouch, tripod mount (TS-181), protective cover (PT-61), shoulder strap
CONTEMPORARY 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG

Thenew Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG | Contemporary lens is the world’s first high-magnification zoom lens for full-frame cameras, combining a 20mm wide-angle setting with a 10x zoom. This single lens covers a wide range of scenes, from ultra-wide 20mm to telephoto 200mm, and is flexibly suited to a variety of scenes, from landscapes to sports and close-ups with a maximum magnification of 1:2. Its compact and lightweight design, combined with its high-speed, high-precision AF thanks to its linear motor HLA, ensures a consistently comfortable shooting experience.
The world’s first 20-200mm lens that allows for free expression
It covers the ultra-wide angle range up to 20mm, which was difficult with previous high-magnification zoom lenses. With a focal length of 28-85mm, it achieves a maximum shooting magnification of 1:2, allowing you to enjoy a variety of half-macro photography.
Compact and lightweight design with high mobility
It weighs just 550g and measures just 115.5mm in length (for L-mount). The use of glass with a high refractive index reduces the amount of lens movement that occurs when zooming, resulting in a slim lens body.
High-speed AF and various functions to assist comfortable shooting
The AF actuator uses a linear motor HLA, and the high-speed AF with excellent drive precision ensures you won’t miss a single shutter opportunity. It is also equipped with a dustproof and splashproof construction and a water-repellent and oil-resistant coating. A zoom lock switch can be locked at the wide-angle position.

Main specifications
- Lens construction: 18 elements in 14 groups (1 FLD glass element, 3 SLD glass elements, 4 aspherical lenses)
- Angle of view: 94.5-12.3°
- Number of aperture blades: 9 (circular aperture)
- Minimum focusing distance: 16.5cm (at 28mm focal length)
- Maximum magnification: 1:2 (focal length 28-85mm)
- Filter size: φ72mm
- Weight: 550g (for L-mount)
- Accessories: Lens hood (LH756-02), front cap (LCF-72 IV), rear cap (LCR III), pouch
ART 35mm F1.2 DG II

The new Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG II | Art lens is the successor to the Sigma 35mm F1.2 DG DN | Art. This lens released in 2019 as the world’s first 35mm F1.2 lens for mirrorless cameras. It incorporates the latest technology to achieve not only higher optical performance but also a significant size reduction of approximately 30% in weight. Enjoy the unparalleled imaging performance with high resolution and large, beautiful bokeh, even more easily on the go. Focus breathing has also been suppressed, allowing you to fully utilize its performance even when shooting video.
Unparalleled imaging power with clear, color-free images even at full aperture and large, beautiful bokeh
The lens uses SLD glass, high refractive index glass, and four double-sided aspherical glass-molded lenses to thoroughly correct various aberrations. Compared to previous models, performance has been further improved from the center to the periphery of the image. This allows you to make the most of the maximum aperture of F1.2. The rich bokeh that only F1.2 can provide can be fully utilized in creating your work.

Significantly smaller and lighter than previous models
The adoption of floating focus significantly reduced the weight of the focus group. Simultaneously, this design achieves optical performance that exceeds that of previous models. The weight reduction is of approximately 30% and a reduction in overall length of approximately 20%. The adoption of dual HLA enables fast and quiet AF shooting.
Various functions and build quality suitable for professional use
This lens comes equipped with an AFL button, aperture ring, lock switch, and click switch. Dustproof and splashproof construction, water-repellent and dirt-resistant coating, and a locking petal-shaped hood. High build quality as specified by the Art line.
