Nikon NIKKOR Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7 APS-C Lens Unveiled

Nikon annoucned the NIKKOR Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7, a standard micro lens compatible with APS-C size/DX format mirrorless cameras, on October 31, 2025. Pre-orders in Japan will begin at 10:00 AM on October 22. The retail price on the official Nikon online store is 64,900 yen (tax included).

The new NIKKOR Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7 is a bright, lightweight standard micro lens that is the first NIKKOR Z lens compatible with APS-C size and DX format to achieve a maximum magnification equivalent to life size. Taking advantage of the large bokeh characteristic of a bright prime lens with an f/1.7 maximum aperture, it can bring out the striking beauty of familiar subjects such as accessories and pets.

Furthermore, the minimum focusing distance is just 0.16m, allowing you to boldly get close to the subject, capturing even small subjects in a large size and capturing beautiful, sharp images down to the finest details.

With a standard focal length of 35mm, which is close to the human field of view, it is easy to use and can be used in a wide range of scenes, from tabletop photos to portraits, snapshots, and capturing the details of flowers and plants.
