What is the Fujifilm XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS?
The Fujifilm XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS covers a wide range from 13mm (equivalent to 20mm in 35mm format) to standard 33mm (equivalent to 50mm in 35mm format), yet with a total length of 37.5mm and a weight of approximately 125g, it is the smallest and lightest zoom lens from the company. With excellent portability and a focal range that is ideal for everyday use, this zoom lens makes photography with the “X Series” feel even more accessible.
The XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS boasts the widest angle of 13mm in the XC lens lineup, while also boasting a compact body. To achieve a compact and lightweight body with a total length of 37.5mm and a weight of 125g, the lens employs a lens configuration of 10 elements in 9 groups, including four aspherical lenses and three ED lenses. Despite its compact size and light weight, this lens effectively suppresses the field curvature, distortion, and lateral chromatic aberration inherent to wide-angle lenses across the entire zoom range.
Furthermore, it achieves a minimum focusing distance of 20cm across the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification of 0.25x at the telephoto end. With autofocus performance of approximately 0.025 seconds and a 4-stop image stabilization mechanism, you won’t miss a photo opportunity, and this single lens is effective in a variety of scenes, from table photos to landscapes and portraits.
To coincide with the release of the XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS, the company will be releasing a lens kit consisting of the mirrorless digital camera “FUJIFILM X-T30 III” and the “XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS” from December. The combination of the lightweight and compact X series mirrorless digital camera and the “XC13-33mmF3.5-6.3 OIS” is said to be ideal even for first-time users of the company’s digital cameras.
