Aputure released the full-color LED panel “NOVA II 2×1” and dedicated accessories from Aputure Imaging Industries. In addition to the NOVA II 2×1, they will also begin selling the “NOVA II 1×1” which is a different size, and the “NOVA 9° 2×1” which has a different beam angle.
The 2×1 version of the light previously made its debut at IBC 2025.
What is the Aputure NOVA II series?
The Aputure NOVA II is a next-generation full-color LED panel with a durable IP65-rated body, 1000W high output, a wide CCT range (1,800K to 20,000K), and ±Green/Magenta adjustment. Compared to the previous NOVA P600c, it is more than 10 times brighter (at 3m, 5600K) and produces highly accurate color reproduction and high color rendering properties with its BLAIR-CG LED elements.
The control box is built into the light body, making setup simple. This LED light is compact, easy to handle, robust, and high-performance, making it suitable for a wide range of uses, from studio to location shoots.
It supports a variety of control methods, including Sidus Link, DMX, and CRMX, and can be smoothly integrated into large-scale lighting networks.
High output and high color reproducibility
Precise white balance adjustment is also possible, and by using the x, y and HSIC+ modes, it is now possible to adjust the subject’s color and set a green screen/blue screen key optimized for the camera sensor.
Aputure’s proprietary BLAIR-CG (Blue-Lime-Amber-Indigo-Red-Cyan-Green) color gamut covers 90% of the Rec. 2020 color space. It also uses invisible indigo LED chips to recreate natural sunlight, while blue and red LED chips with different hues faithfully reproduce skin tones.
Durable body and flexibility to meet professional needs
The IP65 dustproof and splashproof design means it can withstand harsh location shooting. It also comes with four fan modes (Smart, High, Medium, Silent) and two output modes (MAX, Constant), making it ideal for a wide range of applications, from studios where quiet operation is essential to outdoor shooting where high light levels are required.
New detachable system
Aputure’s unique front-loading quick clip system allows NOVA II accessories to be attached quickly, easily, and precisely from the front without taking up any extra space.
Best-in-class brightness
It achieves high-power brightness of 28,380 lux (5600K, 3m). It employs a three-stage “focus-to-blend” design, with focusing TIR lenses placed on each individual LED element, resulting in top-class brightness thanks to its tightly packed design. The improved LED element arrangement provides bright, even illumination without color bleeding on the subject.
Various operation methods
It is compatible with Sidus Link and Sidus Link Pro, and supports 16-bit DMX512-A input and output, CRMX, and firmware updates via USB or DMX. It can be used as a standalone key light, or can be controlled via a complex network from a lighting console, achieving the fast and reliable communications required in modern film sets.

About Space Light 90
The Space Light 90 is a 90cm diameter cylindrical soft light accessory designed to convert Aputure lights with NOVA II 2×1 or Bowens mounts into high-output top lights or omnidirectional light sources.
It can be attached directly to the NOVA II 2×1, or to any COB light that supports a Bowens mount using the included adapter plate. It also comes with a roll-up skirt to reduce light spill, providing cinematographers with flexible top lighting in a variety of locations, including studios, sound stages, and broadcast sets.
The NOVA II 2×1 Barndoor
