Peak Design announced a new camera strap series, “Form Rope” and “Form Leather,” as well as a new model of the wrist strap “Cuff,” and the camera plate “Field Plate.” These products are due to be released on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Form Rope
This new camera strap is minimalist and stylish, eliminating the need for a length adjustment mechanism. Instead of using commercially available climbing rope or conspicuous split rings, it uses a proprietary rope and newly designed anchor housing, resulting in a seamless, beautiful form and a smooth, comfortable feel.
It can be attached to camera bodies with one or two camera eyelets and is designed for compact mirrorless and SLR cameras with short lenses. The
proprietary basket-woven nylon/polyester rope provides an optimal balance of strength, comfort, and supple stretch. The low-profile anchor housing, color-matched to the body, allows for safe and easy camera attachment and detachment.
The straps also feature an anodized aluminum accessory loop (except for the neck size) that can be used to attach a spare anchor to secure the strap to your body when the camera is removed.
It comes in four sizes: “Long,” “Standard,” “Short,” and “Neck,” and is available in “Black,” “Kelp,” and “Ocean” depending on the size.

Form Leather
Peak Design states this new, minimalist, compact camera strap is crafted from high-quality full-grain cowhide leather, which is soft, durable, and changes color over time. Visible seams have been eliminated to create a clean look and feel that will stand the test of time.
It can be attached to camera bodies with one or two camera eyelets and is designed for compact mirrorless and SLR cameras with short lenses.
The underside of the strap features a unique sealing process that allows it to move smoothly along the body while providing just the right amount of grip to prevent it from slipping off your shoulder. The leather edge is seamlessly integrated into a thin, glass-reinforced nylon anchor housing, allowing for safe and easy camera attachment and detachment.
The straps also feature an anodized aluminum accessory loop (except for the neck size) that can be used to attach a spare anchor or secure the strap to your body when the camera is removed.
It comes in four sizes: “long,” “standard,” “short,” and “neck,” and is available in “black,” “amber,” and “tan” depending on the size.

Cuff Rope
Peak Design states this new model features a functional wrist strap called a “cuff” made with a proprietary rope. The basket-woven nylon/polyester rope provides a comfortable fit. When not in use, it can be folded and put in a pocket.

Field Plate
This new camera plate features a unique connection mechanism that allows the handle to pop out with the push of a button. It’s 4-way Arca-Swiss compatible, allowing for quick, tool-free attachment to your camera. It’s compatible with all Peak Design tripods and the Capture V3, and also features an anchor loop.
