What is the Thypoch Simera-C Series?
The Thypoch Simera-C series is a full-frame cinema lens that combines the design philosophy of classic rangefinder lenses with DZOFILM’s cinematic technology and cutting-edge optical design to achieve high resolution performance while being compact and lightweight.
The series’ common T1.5 maximum aperture delivers excellent image quality in a variety of lighting conditions. The optical system combines ASPH aspherical lenses, ED lenses, and high-refractive lenses to achieve improved resolution and excellent control of chromatic aberration. The design is also compatible with 8K-class video production. The 16-blade aperture produces beautiful, nearly circular bokeh, and the natural, soft background expression brings out the subject, enhancing the finished product.

Latest optical design and large T1.5 aperture
The precise optical structure, incorporating a floating design, maintains high sharpness and contrast even at wide open apertures, despite its compact size. Furthermore, the large T1.5 aperture and 16-blade diaphragm create smooth, beautiful, nearly circular bokeh that naturally highlights the subject. While maintaining a neutral color reproduction, the balance of contrast and flare can be adjusted to achieve a vintage-like image.
High resolution with reduced aberrations and beautiful bokeh
The lens employs an advanced optical design that combines ASPH aspherical lenses, ED lenses, and high-refractive-index lenses. It effectively suppresses chromatic aberration and flare, achieving high resolution from the center to the edges of the image. Furthermore, Thypoch’s high-precision aspherical lens technology suppresses onion rings in the bokeh, enabling smooth, beautiful bokeh.
Highly durable construction and mobility that can be used with any equipment
The full-metal construction, made from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, combines high rigidity with a weight reduction of approximately 390-470g. The compact and lightweight design significantly reduces the equipment burden on the entire shooting system, delivering high performance in a variety of shooting environments, including handheld shooting, gimbals, and drones.
0.8 MOD high compatibility and practical design that optimizes setup
The focus and iris rings feature 0.8 MOD gears, making them compatible with common follow focuses and cinema accessories. The uniform gear position minimizes readjustment when changing lenses or accessories. Furthermore, the need for balance adjustments on stabilizers and sliders is reduced, allowing for smooth lens changes. The 210° focus ring rotation angle provides high operational precision, enabling precise control of focus and shallow depth of field.
