Happy New Year everybody! I hope everyone has a great 2026. This is web editor Zach here!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone for your support throughout 2025. We had a year of impressive growth, despite the scaled-back operations. For reference, our team was scaled back in 2025, and now, with the support of our Japan team, we are running with a team of 4 for 2026. However, even with a smaller team, we have grown significantly throughout 2025, especially through our review series. I appreciate everybody reading the reviews we wrote, and we promise to have more throughout 2026!
In 2026, on top of the reviews, we will additionally be writing more columns, especially from our insider professionals. Additionally, we look forward to covering various events throughout the year, especially CP+ and Inter BEE. Our Japan team will be covering CES and IBC and I will be localizing those articles into English.
As usual, every day we will be sharing the latest news in our industry. We additionally encourage our viewers to suggest us news subjects to cover, as well! Feel free to leave comments on X, Threads, and Instagram.
Be sure to follow us on Social Media!

One of the setbacks we faced is similar issues many have faced with the advancing presence of AI content moderation by Big Tech. In particular, I lost my personal meta account and we have had login issues with our Facebook page. Currently, we have full access to threads and Instagram.
In 2026, we will have a full presence on X, and will also share articles on Threads. On X, we will also retweet camera makers’ posts, along with other columns. On Threads, we will actively share local photographers and videographers. When we post a review, we will also share photos from those reviews on Instagram!
Once again, I, on behalf of my wonderful colleagues at PRONEWS and System5, thank you for supporting this project since we started it in 2022. I also want to extend a personal thank you to my close friends in Japan’s photography circle, who have guided me and always helped me improve my craft. Also, huge thanks to Kaori and her dog Joe for always helping with the lens reviews! I hope to see you all at CP+ in February!
