Main features of the Yamaha MGX Series
“MG Series” digitalized
To provide versatile functionality in a more compact housing, the Yamaha MGX Series digitizes the mixing and control sections of the MG Series, a highly acclaimed analog mixer that has been a best-selling model for many years. Combining high-quality sound, performance, and flexibility, it demonstrates its capabilities in a wide range of applications, including music production, streaming, events, and facility sound.
Diverse input/output and routing functions
The mic/line combo input is equipped with a high-quality MGX mic preamp. With four stereo inputs and flexible routing, the unit can be used for a wide range of applications, from conferences and small live events to music production and streaming. It also comes with a stereo output (XLR terminal), eight omni outputs (six on the MGX12) (TRS phone), and four headphone jacks for versatile monitoring.
Additionally, it comes equipped with two USB-C ports, allowing setup via a PC, smartphone, or tablet. It also supports background music playback via Bluetooth audio input, multi-recording up to 16 tracks using a microSD card, and stereo playback.

Equipped with HDMI input/output terminals (MGX16V/12V only)
The MGX16V and MGX12V are equipped with an HDMI input and a dedicated THRU terminal for pass-through. Video signals input from video cameras and game consoles can be passed through to a monitor display, while the video can be imported into a PC via the USB MAIN terminal. Meanwhile, audio signals can be downmixed and imported into any channel on the mixer, and two-channel audio can also be output from the THRU terminal.
Equipped with a variety of effect functions and creative tools
In addition to Gate, Comp, EQ, and reverb, it also features Clip Safe, which automatically reduces the gain to prevent clipping when the input is too high, and Auto Gain, which automatically measures and sets the optimal gain. It also comes with creative tools such as an amp simulator and voice changer, and supports assigning sound effects to the Sound Pad and lip-sync adjustment (delay) for the STREAMING OUT channel.
Two operation modes to choose from depending on your use case
It has two modes: the normal “Standard mode” which allows all functions to be used, and the “Simple mode” which can be operated with simple UI operations tailored to the provided use cases.
