DJI announced the Avata 360, a camera drone capable of 360° shooting. Pre-orders began on April 9, 2026, at the official online store and authorized retailers, with sales beginning sequentially in various regions from the same month. Designed to unleash limitless creativity even from a single take, this new 8K 360° flagship drone features 360° imaging with a 1-inch equivalent sensor, enabling 8K/60fps HDR video recording. Simultaneously, DJI’s high-performance O4+ video transmission system and obstacle detection capabilities allow creators to enjoy stable and safe flight even at long distances, while also experiencing an immersive flight experience.
The latest addition to the popular Avata series, when used with DJI goggles and motion controllers, delivers a thrilling and immersive 360° flight experience unique to FPV (First Person View). The Avata 360 also supports traditional flight using DJI transmitters.

With Avata 360, you can capture 360° footage in a single flight and then reframe it from any viewpoint during post-editing. It offers a new flight experience that allows you to create a variety of creative videos from a single shot.
What is the DJI Avata 360 ?
With vivid visual expression, creativity is limitless.
The Avata 360 features two lenses, allowing for seamless switching between 360° shooting mode and single-lens mode. The built-in 360° lens utilizes a 1-inch equivalent sensor, enabling the capture of 360° video with rich detail, and supports 8K/60fps HDR video recording and 120-megapixel still photography.

With large 2.4μm pixels and a high dynamic range, it beautifully captures even the finest details in both bright and dark areas. Both videos and photos can be exported directly, and reframing is possible in post-editing. At the same time, in single-lens mode, you can shoot 4K/60fps video in the style of the traditional Avata series.
Powerful video transmission, immersive flight
The Avata 360 utilizes DJI’s flagship O4+ video transmission system. This allows for stable, clear live video feeds during flight, providing a smooth and realistic flight experience. Its powerful interference resistance enables the transmission of high-resolution 1080p/60fps video at a maximum distance of 20km.

Fly with confidence, create as you please.
The Avata 360 boasts a maximum flight time of 23 minutes and features various safety functions, including omnidirectional obstacle detection that works even in nighttime shooting and integrated propeller guards. In the unlikely event that the camera lens is damaged, it can be easily replaced using the separately sold “DJI Avata 360 Replacement Lens Kit.”

Furthermore, post-editing using the DJI Fly app and DJI Studio makes it possible to create multiple impressive video works from 360° footage captured in a single flight. Specifically, it allows for content creation that leverages the following features:
- Spotlight Free: Locks focus on moving subjects to assist camera work, replicating professional-level advanced camera techniques like those found on the Inspire 3. There’s also a standard Spotlight mode, which locks focus on the subject’s face for smooth shooting of circle and drony shots.
- ActiveTrack 360°: Automatically selects the optimal tracking mode. Standard mode maintains a constant distance and altitude from the subject. Cycling mode, on the other hand, reacts quickly when the subject curves, keeping the subject in frame even in complex environments.
- FPV Mode: Even beginner pilots can capture dynamic and fast-paced FPV-style footage with spotlight-free flight, ActiveTrack 360°, and natural roll effects added to manual flight. This mode is applied in post-production.
- Intelligent Tracking: Using advanced algorithms, DJI Fly and DJI Studio generate smooth tracking footage, locking onto people, cars, pets, and other objects even in 360° video.
- A new one-tap editing feature within the app, Free Framing, allows you to adjust 360° footage to any angle you like and export it in the DJI Fly app. You can also add camera effects in both DJI Fly and DJI Studio.
- Virtual Gimbal: Allows for unlimited horizontal and vertical rotation in a 360° view, enabling dynamic camera work. Even when flying in one direction, you can roll, turn around, or flip within the view to switch perspectives.
- Interchangeable lens parts: The lens parts are designed to be interchangeable. By purchasing a replacement lens kit with tools, you can easily replace the lens parts yourself, eliminating the need to send it in for repair.
- 42GB of built-in storage and high-speed transfer: With 42GB of built-in storage, you can shoot 30 minutes of 8K 360° video without a microSD card. Using Wi-Fi 6 high-speed transfer, you can transfer 1GB of video to the DJI Fly app in 10 seconds at speeds of up to 100MB/s.
One drone can now perform both FPV flight and aerial photography.
The Avata 360 offers both the creative freedom of a 360° camera and the thrill of FPV flight. By flying it with a DJI transmitter (RC 2, RC-N2, RC-N3), you can precisely control the camera and capture impressive aerial footage in unprecedented ways.

On the other hand, when used with DJI goggles and motion controllers, you can experience immersive flight with 1080p/60fps 360° video. Similar to the Avata 2, the DJI RC Motion 3 allows even beginners to enjoy acrobatic flight maneuvers like drifting.
