Panasonic announced the upcoming release of the “LUMIX DC-TX3″ compact digital camera, equipped with a high-sensitivity 1.0-inch back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS image sensor with approximately 20.1 megapixels. Release date will come in mid-May 2026.
Despite its compact size, this product features a 15x optical zoom, covering focal lengths from wide-angle 24mm to telephoto 360mm. It also supports AF macro (at wide-angle end), allowing you to shoot subjects as close as 3cm.
Furthermore, thanks to its high-sensitivity 1.0-inch image sensor, it suppresses noise even in dimly lit rooms and night scenes, achieving bright and vivid images. It can capture not only distant subjects but also challenging scenes such as nighttime cityscapes and low-light event venues with clarity. From special encounters on your travels to events like concerts and sporting events, and even the casual moments of everyday life, this compact camera can beautifully preserve those memories.

Furthermore, the LUMIX DC-TX3 features “4K Photo,” which enables continuous shooting at 30 frames per second. You can capture moving scenes and save the best moment as a high-resolution still image after shooting. Because you can select it later, you won’t miss the decisive photo opportunity. In addition, it supports 22 types of creative controls, easy smartphone transfer, and versatile USB Type-C charging.
The company is promoting this product as a compact camera that allows users to enjoy recording memories at travel destinations and leisure events, thanks to the vivid image quality of its 1.0-inch back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS image sensor and its comprehensive operability.
