Blackmagic Design released “ATEM Switcher Version 10.3,” which is available for free download from their website.
This update adds support for USB digital audio output for use with Fairlight Live to compatible ATEM switchers, including the ATEM Mini Pro, ATEM Mini Extreme, ATEM SDI Extreme, ATEM Television Studio, and ATEM Constellation 4K.
As a software-based mixer, Fairlight Live supports extremely powerful features, including spatial audio mixing and SMPTE-2110 broadcast workflows. It also offers full redundancy. Depending on the performance of your computer, it can easily handle hundreds or even thousands of audio channels.
ATEM Switcher Version 10.3 Details
In addition to being able to use USB audio from ATEM live production switchers, Fairlight Live works with any software that supports standard computer audio. In short, it’s a fully customizable live audio mixer with many professional features, including built-in effects, cue players, talkback buses, support for third-party plugins, and snapshots.
Additionally, support for direct streaming from ATEM switchers to Blackmagic Cloud Stream Routers has been added. This allows live productions to be routed globally and simultaneously to multiple streaming platforms. The ATEM Television Studio HD8 ISO and ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 can also receive remote sources from the Blackmagic Cloud Stream Router, allowing live feeds from around the world to be used directly in production.
Furthermore, support for user authentication to access recorded files has been added. This allows for more granular control over access permissions to those files. The overall performance and stability of compatible ATEM switchers have also been improved.
