Yamaha Corporation announced the upcoming release two new professional audio equipment products, the mixing consoles “MGP32X A” and “MGP24X A.” Release date for these mixers is sometime in August 2026.
The Yamaha “MGP32X A” and “MGP24X A” are mixing consoles that succeed the “MGP32X” and “MGP24X” models, based on the concept of fusing the development process of high-quality analog equipment with digital technology.
The input section, which determines the sound quality, features a discrete Class-A microphone preamplifier “D-PRE,” and the equalizer is equipped with “X-pressive EQ,” which reproduces the frequency characteristics unique to classic equipment of yesteryear.
Furthermore, it features USB device recording and playback capabilities, a master compressor, a graphic equalizer, and two high-quality effects, providing numerous functions required in professional settings while maintaining intuitive operation.
Yamaha MGP32X A, MGP24X, Main Features
Input section equipped with discrete Class-A microphone preamplifier “D-PRE”
Both the Yamaha MGP32X A and MGP24X feature a discrete Class-A microphone preamplifier, the “D-PRE.” This preamp employs an inverted Darlington circuit with a multi-stage amplification element configuration to suppress distortion. Distortion suppression results in rich bass and extended treble with a musical character. In addition, each channel has an independent phantom power switch to prevent unwanted noise problems.
The “X-pressive EQ” reproduces the characteristics of legendary equalizers from yesteryear.
The mono input channel features “X-pressive EQ,” which leverages know-how gained through research and development of digital mixers. Developed with the concept of reproducing the sound of analog equipment such as legendary equalizers of yesteryear, it is realized based on analysis results using Yamaha’s unique “VCM Technology.” It can be used not only for sound quality correction but also for proactive sound shaping.
USB device recorder
It features a USB device recorder function that allows you to record mixed audio as an audio file to a USB device, or assign songs stored on a USB device to channel output or bus output for playback. Supported file formats are WAV and MP3 for recording, and WAV, MP3, and AAC for playback.
Features a main compressor and graphic equalizer.
It features a stereo main unit equipped with a compressor/multiband compressor to adjust the sound pressure of the output signal, as well as a graphic equalizer for sound quality correction such as preventing feedback.
Equipped with the high-quality reverb “REV-X” and the highly acclaimed multi-effects processor “SPX”.
It features two types of effects: the REV-X algorithm (8 types) and the SPX algorithm (16 types). “REV-X” is a reverb characterized by its high density and rich reverberation, smooth decay, and breadth and depth that brings out the original sound. “SPX” supports a variety of applications, including reverb, delay, modulation, and even composite effects that combine multiple effects.
Convenient ducker and leveler functions for use in event sound reinforcement and party venues.
The stereo input channels are equipped with ducker and leveler functions. The ducker function automatically lowers the volume of background music when the presenter starts speaking during background music playback. The leveler function can equalize the volume when using sound sources with different sound pressure levels.
