
On August 25, 2026, Other World Computing, OWC, announced a new lineup of high-performance storage, connectivity, and expansion solutions in the U.S. for the newly announced Apple Mac mini with M6 and M5 Pro processors, and Apple Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra processors.
OWC products compatible with the new Mac Studio with M5 Max or M5 Ultra, and the new Mac mini with M5 Pro, include the following:

- Expands one Thunderbolt connection into three Thunderbolt 5 ports and one USB-A port, delivering bidirectional performance up to 80Gb/s, support for up to three 8K displays, and up to 140W of power delivery, all in a compact, fanless design.
- The OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10G Network Dock
- Features three fully independent high-speed Ethernet ports, plus four Thunderbolt 5 ports and four USB ports. It’s an all-in-one solution that simplifies complex multi-network workflows, provides high-bandwidth network storage connectivity, and offers the convenience of everyday docking.
- OWC StudioStack
- slim, hybrid storage solution utilizing aircraft-grade aluminum. It combines SSDs and HDDs in a single unit to achieve a maximum capacity of 32TB and delivers transfer speeds of up to 6302MB/s. Furthermore, it includes three additional Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) ports and three USB-A ports to support both new and old devices.
- The OWC ThunderBlade X12
- A portable production-grade RAID SSD compatible with Thunderbolt 5. It offers high transfer speeds of up to 6600MB/s and large capacity, all within a compact chassis and featuring a RAID 5 design. It’s designed for high-end film production, multi-camera 8K/12K workflows, and reliable shuttle transfers on set.
- The OWC Express 4M2
- NVMe RAID storage solution compatible with Ultra Thunderbolt 5 (80Gb/s). It comes pre-installed with SoftRAID and is available in capacities of 4TB, 8TB, 16TB, and 32TB. It can also be used as a bare enclosure for building custom configurations.
- The OWC Envoy Ultra
- Thunderbolt 5 portable SSD compliant with the IP67 standard. It boasts real-world transfer speeds exceeding 6000MB/s, is bus-powered, and features an internal cable design. It can be easily carried and used wherever needed, including with other Macs and PCs.
- The OWC Express 1M2 80G
- USB4 80Gb/s NVMe portable SSD is ideal for DIY enclosures utilizing existing NVMe drives or as a ready-to-use solution. Featuring a passive cooling design, it offers broad compatibility with Thunderbolt and USB-C devices, delivering performance exceeding 6000MB/s in real-world usage.
- The OWC Mercury Helios 5S
- Enables the use of PCIe cards in laptops with Thunderbolt 5/4/3 and USB4 support, as well as in small form factor computers such as the Mac Studio, and adds a Thunderbolt 5 port.
