Laowa added Fujifilm X-mount and Nikon F-mount versions to its “180mm f/4.5 1.5X Ultra Macro APO” lineup. The Fujifilm X-mount version supports autofocus, while the Nikon F-mount version is manual focus. The suggested retail price is $499 USD.

Previously, the lenses were available for Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon EF, Canon RF, and L mounts. The newly added X mount version is Laowa’s first autofocus lens for Fujifilm X mount.
The 180mm focal length translates to a 270mm equivalent field of view on Fujifilm’s APS-C cameras, making it suitable for a wide range of photography, including macro photography, portraits, and shooting distant subjects.
This lens supports a maximum magnification of 1.5x, with a minimum focusing distance of 30cm and a minimum working distance of 14.76cm. It allows for high-magnification macro photography while maintaining a safe distance from the subject. It employs a 9-group, 12-element APO (apochromatic) optical design to suppress chromatic aberration.
Despite being a telephoto macro lens, it is compact and lightweight, with the Fujifilm X-mount version measuring Ø67.6×134.7mm and weighing 526.2g. The AF-compatible version supports autofocus from 1.5m to infinity as a basic specification, and the latest firmware also supports AF and focus bracketing in the macro range.
