Viltrox AF 35mm F1.4 Pro FE and Z Mount Lens Released

Viltrox announced the “AF 35mm F1.4 Pro FE/Z,” a flagship lens designed for professional photographers and filmmakers.

The new AF 35mm F1.4 Pro FE/Z lens delivers excellent resolution and sharpness from edge to edge, faithfully reproducing vibrant textures and realistic details even when closely examining fine details, performing significant cropping, or zooming in extensively.

The Viltrox AF 35mm F1.4 Pro FE/Z combines a classic focal length with a professional-grade optical design consisting of 16 elements in 11 groups, maintaining sharp image quality from edge to edge even at the maximum aperture of F1.4.

Superior suppression of distortion faithfully reproduces straight lines and the natural shapes of buildings across the entire frame. This is particularly useful in wide-angle photography, where barrel distortion can cause buildings, interiors, and subjects near the edges of the frame to appear curved or stretched.

Specialized lens materials address the following common optical challenges.

Two UA (ultra-precision aspherical) lenses reduce “onion ring” bokeh, resulting in a smooth and natural rendering of the background.
Three ED (extra-low refractive index) lens elements effectively correct axial chromatic aberration, resulting in sharp images with minimal color fringing.
Four HR (high refractive index) lens elements achieve a balance between portability and optical performance.
