DJI has released a new FPV drone, the DJI Avata 2. The estimated retail price is as follows:

Two years ago, when the original DJI Avata was released, we gave users an immersive FPV flying experience like never before. Redesigned based on its predecessor, the DJI Avata 2 now supports easy flips, rolls, and drifts, allowing anyone to fly like a pro.

Capture the most exciting moments in high quality
The Avata 2 uses a 1/1.3-inch CMOS ultra-wide-angle 12MP camera with a larger image sensor than the previous model, which expands the dynamic range and provides excellent shooting performance even in low-light environments. The ultra-wide-angle lens that achieves a 155° FOV allows pilots to capture footage from a unique perspective and impressive flight footage that is different from other conventional camera drone footage.
The camera can capture immersive photos and HDR videos at up to 4K/60fps, as well as slow-motion footage at 2.7K/120fps. The DJI Avata 2 supports 10-bit D-Log M color mode, capturing fine details in both bright and dark areas, allowing for detailed reproduction in post-production and streamlined color grading.
Excellent stability
Even during turbulent flight, DJI Avata 2 delivers sharp, stable footage thanks to powerful algorithms and DJI’s flagship stabilization technology. DJI’s RockSteady feature eliminates overall footage shake, even when flying at high speeds or in strong winds, and HorizonSteady ensures the drone’s footage remains level, even when the drone makes sharp turns or swings dramatically.
Additionally, while the EIS setting is turned off, Avata 2 supports the offline stabilization tool Gyroflow, which allows you to further correct footage shake in post-production.
Comprehensive safety features
The Avata 2 now features lightweight integrated propeller guards, making it even more agile and allowing users to move freely in tight spaces.
Even if something unexpected happens, users can fly with peace of mind knowing that you can stop the drone by simply pressing the lock button on the RC Motion 3. In addition, an automatic RTH (Return-to-Home) function is activated when the drone’s battery is low or the signal is lost, providing multiple layers of safety measures.
The dual fisheye sensors allow for excellent stability and safety when flying at low altitudes or indoors.
If the drone gets upside down, it can quickly resume flying using Turtle Mode. When Turtle Mode is on, the drone will automatically flip over on its own and return to the position it was in when it took off.
Long flight, unlimited freedom
The Avata 2 boasts a maximum flight time of 23 minutes and supports PD fast charging, so users can charge it quickly and resume flying immediately. In addition, the new 2-way charging hub1 is equipped with a power collection function that transfers the remaining power of multiple batteries to the battery with the most remaining power, so it can be used as a spare battery in a pinch situation.
The new O4 video transmission achieves a maximum video transmission distance of 13km, a transmission delay of only 24ms, high-resolution image quality of 1080p/100fps, and a transmission bit rate of up to 60Mbps. It adopts a 2T4R antenna design (two transmitters, four receivers) that uses four antennas, providing strong interference resistance and allowing pilots to concentrate on flying with peace of mind.
Share the excitement of flying
The excitement of FPV flight can now be shared more smoothly than ever. Live footage from Avata 2 displayed on DJI Goggles 3 can be viewed in the DJI Fly app and can also be transferred to other devices up to 5m away (Screen sharing to smartphones via Wi-Fi is not supported in areas where the 5.8GHz frequency band is not available, such as Japan. To use this function, we recommend using a wired connection). In addition, in audience mode, you can share live footage to a display or another Goggles 3 using a cable.
Shoot and edit seamlessly
Avata 2 is equipped with 46GB of internal storage, and can store approximately 90 minutes of video at 1080p/60fps, so you won’t miss the best moments of each flight. Files can be quickly transferred to a smartphone via Wi-Fi connection, making post-editing and sharing your work extremely efficient.
One-touch editing with the LightCut app
Connect the Avata 2 to the LightCut app via Wi-Fi and you can edit footage directly in the app, without needing to download the footage from the app. With one-touch editing, anyone can easily create high-quality content.
