Blackmagic Design unveiled globally the newest cinema camera in their arsenal, the Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65.
The URSA Cine 17K 65 is a large format digital film camera with a 65mm RGBW 51 x 24mm sensor. It is designed to deliver excellent image quality at all resolutions from 4K to 17K. This large sensor is based on the technology from the URSA Mini Pro 12K, with larger photosites providing 16 stops of dynamic range. It supports resolutions up to 17520 x 8040, as well as 17K for giant IMAX-style screens.
RGBW Architecture
The unique RGBW architecture has equal numbers of red, green and blue pixels, allowing in-sensor scaling to produce a 65mm field of view without cropping when shooting in 4K, resulting in incredibly rich color at every resolution, optimized for exceptional image quality and flexibility.
PL, LPL, and Hasselblad mounts
The Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 features interchangeable PL, LPL and Hasselblad lens mounts, industry standard Lemo and Fischer connectors, and 8TB of high performance storage with high speed networking for uploading media and syncing to the Blackmagic Cloud.
