Panasonic Announces “LUMIX S 14-28mm F4-5.6 MACRO”

Ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for wide-angle to half-macro photography

Panasonic will release the LUMIX S 14-28mm F4-5.6 MACRO interchangeable lens for the LUMIX full-size mirrorless S series on March 16, 2023. The suggested retail price is 107,800 yen including tax.

This lens is a compact, lightweight, ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that supports from ultra-wide-angle to half-macro. It supports wide-angle 14mm to standard 28mm, making it possible to capture a variety of everyday scenes from landscapes to snapshots.

Another major feature is the built-in macro function, which is close to 0.15m over the entire range and supports half-macro with a shooting magnification of 0.5x at the telephoto end of 28mm. This enables a wide range of expressions, from normal wide-angle expressions to close-up macro photography.

In addition, the lens is compact, lightweight, dustproof, splashproof, and freezeproof, making it suitable for a variety of shooting scenes. Despite its wide angle of 14mm, filters can be attached, and breathing is suppressed even in global shooting. Furthermore, during  the use of a gimbal, the overall length of the lens barrel is fixed and the weight balance is optimized.
