Blackmagic Design has released the latest update for the Blackmagic Video Assist, version 3.10. It can be downloaded from the company’s website .
The update adds support for Blackmagic RAW recording from Panasonic LUMIX S5II and S5IIx cameras to Video Assist 5” and 7” 12G HDR. Camera settings can now be saved in metadata when recording Blackmagic RAW with Video Assist 12G HDR.
White balance and exposure are encoded into the file and can be read by DaVinci Resolve, but it is also possible to override these settings with a palette of RAW settings during color correction.
