Today, we have an exciting rumor to discuss regarding a highly anticipated camera release from Sony.

According to various sources, it seems that Sony is gearing up for a major announcement on July 12th, 2023. And the star of the show might just be the Sony A6700. This camera will supposedly become the best APS-C on the market…

Sensor and capabilities of the Sony a6700

Sony a6700 body

First and foremost, the Sony A6700 is expected to be an APS-C mirrorless camera capable of shooting stunning 4K videos at 120 frames per second. This will provide an amazing level of detail and smoothness, perfect for capturing fast-paced action or creating cinematic masterpieces.

Now, let’s talk about the sensor. The A6700 will to feature the same 26-megapixel BSI APS-C sensor found in the highly regarded Sony FX30. This sensor has received rave reviews for its image quality and low-light performance, so we can expect the A6700 to deliver outstanding results in a variety of shooting conditions.

Processor

The Sony A6700 will feature the BIONZ XR image processor. This is the same processor that you can find in Sony’s ZV-E1 compact full-frame hybrid camera. This processor is known for its speed, allowing for fast autofocus performance and efficient handling of high-resolution images and videos.”

Speaking of autofocus, the A6700 is rumored to have an impressive autofocus system with over 700 autofocus points. This extensive coverage will ensure accurate and reliable tracking of subjects, even in challenging shooting scenarios.

Image Stabilization

Another noteworthy feature is the A6700’s five-axis in-body image stabilization, offering up to seven stops of stabilization. This will be a game-changer for handheld shooting. It will enable photographers and videographers to capture incredibly steady footage and tack-sharp images, even in low-light situations.

Ergonomics of the Sony A6700

In terms of design, the A6700 is expected to have a beefier grip compared to its predecessors. Not only will this provide better ergonomics for extended shooting sessions, but it will also feature an integrated horizontal scroll wheel on the front of the grip. This addition will enhance the camera’s handling and offer convenient control over various settings.

And finally, it appears that the EVF (electronic viewfinder) is making a comeback in the A6700. This is fantastic news for photographers who prefer the traditional viewfinder experience. It will provide a clear and detailed preview of the scene before capturing the shot.

Remember, these specifications are based on rumors and leaks, so we’ll have to wait for the official announcement from Sony to confirm all the details. Nevertheless, if these rumors hold true, the Sony A6700 promises to be an exceptional camera for both photography and videography enthusiasts.
