IBC2023
YoloLiv announced its latest streaming solution, YoloBox Ultra, at IBC 2023. Release is scheduled for around the end of 2023.
YoloBox Ultra combines the strengths of the YoloBox series and Instream into one solution, featuring even more features.
The YoloBox Ultra’s appearance did not change much from the previous YoloBox series. The new platform has the same form factor as before, with an 8-inch screen. The Ultra, however, is more equipped with more features. The unit uses a strong 20,000mAh battery, the largest in the series, and this means that it can stream for up to 6 hours. This new unit is designed so that it can handle live streams of 2 to 3 hours with plenty of time without having to prepare an extra power source. The display has a brightness of 650 nits, making it the brightest in the series.
Inputs and network connectivity
The Yolobox Ultra is equipped with 4 full HDMI inputs, making it easier to support more professional multi-cam videos. Equipped with two USB Type-A 3.0 ports, it supports webcams, portable storage devices, wireless USB dongles, and other connectibles.
The Yolobox Ultra also supports “network bonding” which combines a total of 5 network connections including 3 cellular, Wi-Fi and Ethernet into a fast and reliable live stream. The CPU is equipped with an 8-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, which contains 2.5 times more processing power. This is a significant improvement in connectivity than previous Yolobox entries.
The Yolobox Ultra now supports ISO recording function, allowing up to 4 HDMI sources (1080 60p) to be saved to an external hard disk at the same time. Distribution is compatible with Facebook/YouTube/RTMP & Instagram/TikTok streaming platforms.
