LAOWA is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of the highly-anticipated “24mm T8 2X Macro Pro2be (Protube).” This exciting addition to their lineup is set to hit the market on September 29, 2023.

The Pro2be series introduces a new realm of possibilities for macro photography enthusiasts, building upon the success of its predecessors, the “24mm F14 Macro Probe” and “24mm T14 Macro Periprobe.” LAOWA offers three distinct modules within this series: the Direct View Module, the 35° Module, and the Periscope Module. Pricing details for each module are as follows:

1. 3 Lens Set: Approximately $10,000
2. Direct View Module: Approximately $3600
3. 35° Module: Approximately $4000
4. Periscope Module: Approximately $4200
5. Conversion Bayonet Mount (Sony FE, Canon EF, Canon RF, Nikon Z, L mount): Approximately $100 each (including tax)

Product Features

The Pro2be series offers an array of elongated lenses designed to capture unique and captivating images that were previously beyond the reach of traditional macro lenses. Some key features include: Direct View Mode, 35° Module, and a Periscope Module .

• Direct View Module: Resembling the straight shape of existing Probe lenses, this module allows photographers to capture images from their perspective.
  

  

• 35° Module: Featuring a 35° lens angle, this module is perfect for impactful close-range shots, making it ideal for film and video production. Its 360° rotation mechanism enables horizontal shooting while maintaining the tilt angle.
  

  

  

• Periscope Module: With its distinctive periscope-like shape, this module offers versatile shooting options. It can be angled upward to capture high shots or downward for close-up ground-level shots. It is also excellent for creating dynamic FPV footage when combined with a robotic arm.
  

  

Furthermore, the Pro2be lenses are waterproof up to 36.6cm from the tip, allowing for underwater scenes with greater depth and clarity. With a maximum aperture of T8, these lenses excel in low-light conditions, and the depth of field can be adjusted from T8 to T40.

The Pro2be’s optical design has been enhanced to deliver higher-quality images and more lifelike colors. All three lens types incorporate multiple high-refractive index lenses and special low-dispersion lenses for exceptional sharpness and vibrant colors.

These lenses offer 2x magnification and a minimum working distance of just 4mm, enabling photographers to capture previously unseen details, whether it’s insects, animals, watches, jewelry, or food, making them perfect for B-roll footage.

Additionally, while the basic mount is the Arri PL mount, the Pro2be series provides compatibility with five other interchangeable mounts (Canon EF, Canon RF, Nikon Z, Sony E, and L mounts), offering versatility for photographers using various camera systems.
