MonsterAdapter announced the release of the LA-FE2 electronic mount adapter on February 10, 2024. Estimated retail price is approximately $515.
MonsterAdapter LA-FE2 is an electronic mount adapter for using Nikon F-mount lenses with Sony E-mount cameras. Equipped with an AF drive motor, autofocus is possible not only with AF-P/AF-S/AF-I Nikkor-s with a built-in motor, but also with early AF Nikkor-s without a built-in motor.
Equipped with G Driver
This adapter is equipped with the G DRIVER focus detection/AF drive algorithm independently developed by MonsterAdapter. By making full use of the camera’s phase-difference detection and calculation capabilities, it is now possible to focus more accurately and faster than ever before.

- AE/AF shooting is possible with Nikon F mount AF lenses
- Image plane phase detection AF can be used over a wide area of the screen
- Supports AF-C during high-speed continuous shooting (up to approximately 10 frames/second)
- Compatible with “face detection” and “eye AF”
- Compatible with in-lens image stabilization mechanism (Nikon “VR”, Sigma “OS”, Tamron “VC”)
- Compatible with in-body image stabilization mechanism
- AF/MF can be switched with the switch on the side of the adapter
- Information such as focal length and exposure of the shot image is recorded as Exif data.
- Adapter firmware update possible (Windows only)
Changes from the previous LA-FE1

- Autofocus is possible even with AF Nikkor without built-in motor
- Rubber sealing is used on the body side mount to reduce the intrusion of dirt and dust.
- Improved the adapter’s AF switch and lens lock release button.
