NAB2024
FOR-A Co., Ltd. will be exhibiting at the 2024 NAB Show, which will be held in Las Vegas, USA for four days from Sunday, April 14, 2024. FOR.A at NAB204 will have their booth in Central Hall: Booth No. C4507.
FOR.A will demonstrate its latest products and solutions by dividing its booth into three areas: “ST 2110 Solutions,” “Broadcast Automation Solutions,” and “Partner Solutions.”
Inside the booth, an LED wall made by Spain’s Alfalite will be installed to introduce FOR.A’s latest products and initiatives.
Furthermore, from 15:00 on Saturday, April 13th, the day before the opening of the exhibition hall, they will hold a conference entitled “FOR.A CONNECT─Welcome Reception─” to introduce FOR.A’s latest initiatives. FOR.A At NAB2024 Main exhibition
SMPTE ST 2110 Solution Area
According to FOR.A, the Media over IP (MoIP) environment is progressing due to media transmission using “SMPTE ST 2022-6” and “ST 2110” and device management/control using “AMWA NMOS IS-04/05” solutions. The ST 2110 solution area will introduce a production environment based on ST 2110.
In addition to unveiling the “Hierarchical RDS” (Hi-RDS) method for efficiently sharing resources in a multi-vendor environment for the first time overseas, FOR.A will also introduce the IP transport appliance “SOAR-A EDGE/EDGE mini” to be deployed in global markets. Additionally, Odyssey’s video server “Insight,” and Seiko Solutions Co., Ltd.’s PTP-related solutions, both will also be on display.
- NMOS RDS software “SOM-200RDS” (scheduled for release)
- RDS filtering API option “SOM-20RDS Plus” (scheduled release)
“SOM-200RDS” that manages and operates shared NMOS devices, and “SOM-20RDS Plus” that appropriately assigns shared NMOS devices in response to booking requests. This product realizes a hierarchical RDS environment that registers and manages common device resources. SOM-200RDS makes resource sharing is possible even in a MoIP environment that spans islands built by multiple vendors. Using the FA-1616 software-defined processor and the software-defined platform “Technology Reference Exhibition” as common equipment resources, the hierarchical RDS environment will be unveiled for the first time outside of Japan. - Software-defined products
As software-defined products, in addition to multi-channel conversion and audio processing using the processor “FA-1616,” FOR.A will also be exhibiting technology references for utilizing the software-defined platform currently under development as a DSK device.
Broadcast Automation Solution Area
This booth will have the following displays:
- The portable video switcher “HVS-190S/190I”,
- Compact video switcher “HVS-490,”
- All-in-One routing switcher “MFR-3100EX,” multi-purpose processor “FA-9600,”
- Multi-viewer “MV-3240
These will be introduced as end-to-end solutions that combine ClassX graphics and Insight video servers with all-purpose products. Control comes from the AVECO Broadcast Animation solution.
FOR.A at NAB2024 Partner solution area
In the partner solution area, FOR.A will introduce the XR solution ClassX Elitium, which is a product of ClassX. Additionally, the new software-based switcher “ClassX VIS (currently a tentative name) will debut. Also, a presentation corner will be set up using an LED wall made by Spain’s Alfalite, and the AlfaArt LED screen, which has high-definition graphic displays and can be used for corporate purposes, will also be on display.
