Accsoon has announced the new SeeMo 4K HDMI adapter for iOS. The new model offers a new UHD 4K HDMI input, turning any iPhone or iPad into an advanced professional on-camera monitor capable of 4K streaming. Simply connect the SeeMo 4K to any camera with HDMI, connect a compatible iOS device with the included Lightning or USB-C cable, and load the Accsoon SEE app.
4K Streaming on the Go
With a 4K camera, SeeMo 4K, and an iPhone, anyone can stream 4K video directly to YouTube and other popular streaming platforms. The setup is simple and lightweight, opening up new creative possibilities for any creator. Accsoon SeeMo 4K can be used equally well in the studio or for streaming on the go. It’s small and lightweight, so you can slip it in your pocket and it’s always ready to go.
SeeMo and the iOS device are fully wired, so both iPhone or iPad’s Wi-fi and data connections are available to connect to the internet for streaming and uploading.
Accsoon SeeMo 4K structure
Accsoon SeeMo 4K encodes the HDMI output from your camera into a format that can be viewed, recorded and streamed by iOS devices running the free Accsoon SEE app. The SeeMo 4K supports 2160p at 23.98/24/25/29.97/30fps, 1080p up to 60fps and 720p up to 60fps for maximum versatility. The app displays images with low latency comparable to traditional monitors.
4K video recordings are saved in H.264 format at up to 20Mbps directly to the device’s Camera Roll. Videos saved to the Camera Roll can be shared via iMessage, Airdrop WhatsApp, Messenger, and Email just like any other iPhone video. They can also be used as a backup for the camera’s main footage or to edit videos when the project is time-sensitive.
SEE App Updates
The latest version of the free SEE app adds some important new features to the SeeMo series.
- Recording and streaming with 90°, 180° and 270° video rotation
– a great feature for social media users who want a vertical video option, especially when combined with the existing feature to flip the image on-screen while vlogging. - Custom LUTs can be “written” to Log-encoded footage
, and it’s also possible to record to or stream from an iOS device. This opens up more creative possibilities for short-term jobs where you want to easily add a creative look. - Adds an optional secondary calibration LUT for display that can be used independently of the creative LUT.
high-end calibration devices can achieve the highest level of screen accuracy on their iOS devices. - Added SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol.
Achieves higher quality and lower latency video streams. For advanced users.
The Accsoon SEE app has evolved into one of the most powerful monitoring solutions available today. It takes full advantage of the touch interface of iOS devices, giving you quick access to a variety of tools. Tap on the screen to check focus, view LUTS, show waveforms and zebras, desqueeze anamorphic video, view grids, and check audio levels.
4K for better focus check
With a 4K signal coming into the iOS device, you get higher resolution when using the magnification feature. This is useful when precise focus is required, especially when using fast lenses or full-frame cameras. The latest iPhones and iPads use screens with high color accuracy and resolution. These smartphones surpass all but the most expensive cinema-grade production monitors. Images are sharper and cleaner, with an ultra-high pixel density that the eye can no longer detect individual pixels. The SeeMo 4K takes full advantage of these screens while remaining lightweight and portable.
Charge the iOS device
The SeeMo 4K can run for several hours on a single Sony NP-F battery, and can also charge an iPhone or iPad simultaneously via Lightning and USB-C. There is also an additional USB-C output which is handy for charging other low-power USB devices, such as a microphone or small on-camera light, if needed.
Built-in SD card reader
The SeeMo 4K also has a built-in SD card reader. This can be used to transfer photos, videos and other files to and from USB-C iOS devices. A convenient addition, as it is often quicker and less hassle than transferring images from the camera using Wi-fi or Bluetooth. Note that users cannot record video directly to an SD card from the SeeMo 4K.
Size and Weight
The SeeMo 4K weighs 115.7g (excluding battery, mount and cable) and measures 92mm x 54mm x 46.3mm. It comes with a dedicated clamp for iPhones and Accsoon’s cold shoe mount. It can also be mounted on most iPads using Accsoon’s PowerCages for iPad.
