Sony has announced firmware version 2.02 for its Sony α1 – AKA the Sony A1 camera. It is available for download from the Sony website. The main updates are as follows:

- An issue where operation could become unstable when this camera was combined with a specific lens (SEL200600G) has been fixed. This lens is the Sony FE 200-600mm telephoto zoom lens.
- Improved operational stability.
