Magewell announced a new plug-in for Elgato’s Stream Deck family of touch control surfaces, further expanding Director Mini flexible control options. The integration enhances creative workflows with new levels of freedom and deeper, more flexible control options.
Magewell will be demonstrating the Director Mini integration with the Stream Deck controller, as well as the 50+ enhancements in the just-released version 3.0 Director Mini firmware, at the 2024 NAB Show in New York City, October 8-10, 2024, in their booth #753.
Director Mini is a complete portable production and streaming system that integrates multi-input switching, graphics, streaming, recording and monitoring in one compact device. Director Mini makes multi camera content creation easy with its intuitive touchscreen interface and companion mobile app.
Elgato’s Stream Deck series of controllers are highly acclaimed for their ability to streamline software and AV workflows with easy drag-and-drop setup, unlimited customization options, space-saving form factors and a rich third-party ecosystem.
The new plugin allows users to assign over 200 Magewell Director Mini functions to the customizable LCD buttons on the Stream Deck controller, including switching video sources, triggering graphic overlays, starting streaming, controlling scoreboards, instant replays and more. Stream Deck buttons can also trigger Director Mini shortcuts that perform multiple actions with a single tap. The plugin also supports the dials and dynamic touch strip on the Stream Deck+ model, providing precise tactile control over features like Director Mini’s built in audio mixer.
