Nikon announced the release of Nikon Z9 firmware ver. 5.10 for its flagship full-frame/FX-format mirrorless camera. The Nikon Z9 firmware version 5.10 adds features to meet the needs of professional video shooters.
New Shutter Angle Mode
A new “Shutter Mode” has been added, allowing the shutter angle during video shooting to be set in 15 steps from 5.6° to 360°. This eliminates the need to set the shutter speed value every time the frame rate is changed, and allows you to always get the optimal motion blur for the frame rate you want to use.
Furthermore, in pursuit of ease of use for video users, the color of the zebra display can now be changed, and the transparency and display position of brightness information displays such as the histogram and waveform monitor can now be customized along with their size. This makes it possible to shoot while checking the appropriate exposure even in scenes with high contrast.
