SIRUI announced the company will be the 9th member when it joins the L-Mount Alliance. This announcement was released on the Leica website.
Since the L-Mount standard was announced at Photokina in 2018, the alliance has been formed by Leica Camera AG, Sigma, and Panasonic as founding members, along with Ernst Leitz-Wetzler GmbH, DJI, ASTRODESIGN, LK SAMYANG, and Blackmagic Design. When SIRUI joins the L-Mount Alliance this year, the company looks to develop L-Mount-equipped products for a wide range of photography and video applications.
The L-Mount was developed by Leica Camera AG as a bayonet mount that pursues flexibility, robustness, and precision to meet the high-level photography needs of the future. Since the start of development, Leica and its strategic partners have continued to develop the L-Mount technology, and the alliance partners have announced a range of cameras and lenses. Lenses manufactured by the L-Mount Alliance companies can be used with all cameras without adapters and without functional limitations. This is one of the advantages of a common bayonet.
