SIGMA Corporation updated the release dates for the following models including the Sigma BF, announced on February 24, 2025.
Release date: April 24th, 2025
- Sigma BF (Black / Silver)
- Sigma 16-300mm F3.5-6.7 DC OS | Contemporary for L-Mount, Sony E-mount
Sigma did announce that due to limited production capacity, the Sigma BF deliveries may take some time from the release date.
The Sigma 16-300mm F3.5-6.7 DC OS | Contemporary for the FUJIMFILM X Mount and Canon RF Mount are scheduled to be released in May. Sigma will announce those camera mount version release dates in the near future
Release date: April 2025 (to be released sequentially)
- Sigma 35mm F2 DG | Contemporary for L-Mount (Black / Silver)
- 45mm F2.8 DG | Contemporary for L-Mount (Black / Silver)
- 50mm F2 DG | Contemporary for L-Mount (Black / Silver)
Sigma added in their press release that the other models in the Sigma I series will be released in sequence. Once those are confirmed, there will be another update from Sigma.

When this lens was first announced in February 2025, it was announced that it would go on release in April 2025, but SIGMA announced the release date has been changed. Once the date is confirmed, SIGMA will announce that on their social media or their website.
