DxO Labs has announced a new AI-driven noise reduction technology called DeepPRIME 3, which is compatible with Bayer and X-Trans sensors.
This new mathematical approach sets a new standard in image quality by combining RAW image demosaicing, noise reduction, and chromatic aberration removal in a single pass.
“DeepPRIME lets me recover detail and boost shadows without adding grain, while restoring the contrast to what my eye really sees,” Agathe Poupeney, a Fujifilm ambassador, commented.
A new standard in RAW image processing
This latest version features sub-pixel level chromatic aberration correction, significantly improving image quality. Trained on a dataset 10 times larger than the previous version and leveraging over 100,000 DxO modules, DeepPRIME 3 sets a new standard in RAW development.

A breakthrough for X-Trans sensors
DxO also unveiled the new DeepPRIME XD3 X-Trans (Beta)*, designed for Fujifilm’s X-Trans sensors. While previous XD versions were focused on Bayer sensors, this Beta version enables eXtra Detail processing for X-Trans images where details are difficult to recover. This revolutionary technology redefines what’s possible in high ISO photography with a 4x increase in processing depth and extensive AI training.

“Processing with DeepPRIME allows us to boost shadows while recovering detail without adding grain, restoring contrast to what you see in real life,” says Ms. Poupeney.
Coming soon to DxO PureRAW 5 & DxO PhotoLab8
DeepPRIME 3 and DeepPRIME XD3 X-Trans (Beta) will be built into PureRAW 5 and will soon be integrated into DxO PhotoLab 8 as a free upgrade. X-Trans photographers can take advantage of this technology preview in PureRAW 5. DxO welcomes your feedback to help refine this cutting edge processing technology.

Essential for any passionate photographer
DxO says this groundbreaking innovation will support photographers around the world, and that its mission is to push the boundaries of image quality so that every photographer can realize their vision.
For all photographers who are passionate about photography, incorporating DxO modules into your workflow is essential to getting the most out of your equipment.
Please note that 5th generation X-Trans sensors are not supported at this time.
